Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of QR & Barcode Studio on the web, as an installed web app and as an Android app. By using the Service you agree to them.
Effective date: October 8, 2026
1. The Service
The Service lets you create, scan, store and print QR codes and barcodes. Core features are free and available without an account. We may add, change or discontinue features, and may offer optional paid features in the future with clear pricing shown before purchase.
2. Your content
You keep all rights to the content you encode, upload or create. Because processing happens on your device, you are responsible for your own backups; use the export features to keep copies. Codes you create may be used for personal and commercial purposes without attribution.
3. Acceptable use
- Do not use the Service to create codes that lead to phishing, malware, fraud or other illegal content.
- Do not infringe others' trademarks, copyrights or privacy, or encode personal data you are not allowed to share.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer for malicious purposes or gain unauthorized access to our systems.
- Do not abuse the feedback channel (spam, automated submissions).
4. Barcodes and product numbers
The Service renders barcodes for values you provide and checks their format. It does not issue, register or license product identification numbers (GTIN/EAN/UPC/ISBN). Obtaining valid numbers from GS1 or the relevant agency is your responsibility.
5. Printing and scanning results
We provide size guidance, quality checks and test scans, but print output depends on your printer, paper, label stock and scanning devices. Always print and scan a test before large print runs. Scan results and link safety checks are heuristics and may not detect every threat.
6. Intellectual property and open source
The Service's design, name and software are protected by law. The Service includes open-source components licensed under their own terms (for example MIT, ISC and Apache-2.0), listed in Settings → About.
7. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted operation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits or data loss, including losses from printing errors, unreadable codes or third-party websites opened from codes. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including consumer protection laws in your country.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your local data. We may suspend access to online features for violations of these terms.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app with a new effective date. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. Disputes are subject to the competent courts under applicable law.
