QR code & barcode scanner

The camera is used only while this screen is open, and video never leaves your device. You can also scan a photo or screenshot.

Tip: drag an image here or press Ctrl+V to paste a screenshot.

USB and Bluetooth barcode scanners work here too: just scan, no text box needed.

Scan with your camera, a photo or a screenshot. Links never open by themselves — you see the real destination first.

A scanner that protects you

How it works

  1. Tap Start camera and allow access — or choose an image.
  2. Point at the code; it's detected automatically.
  3. Review the content and safety check, then choose what to do.
  • All common formats

QR, Micro QR, EAN/UPC, Code 128/39/93, ITF, Codabar, Data Matrix, PDF417, Aztec and GS1 DataBar.

  • Phishing protection

Detects look-alike domains, hidden destinations, link shorteners, raw IPs and dangerous link types.

  • Batch scanning

Scan many codes in a row with duplicate handling, vibration feedback and CSV export.

  • Images & screenshots

Drop, paste or pick an image — even ones with several codes. Processing stays in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

Does the scanner upload my camera feed?

No. Frames are decoded on your device with WebAssembly. Nothing is sent to a server.

Why didn't my code scan?

Make sure the code fills about half the frame, add light or turn on the flash, avoid glare, and hold steady. Damaged or very small codes may need a closer photo.

Can I scan a QR code from a screenshot?

Yes. Choose Scan an image, paste with Ctrl+V or drag the screenshot onto the page.
